Boo Plaque Tutorial

I had originally planned to use these letters on my Boo wreath, but decided they were just too small for that. So I headed to the dollar store and found the wood and knew what I wanted to do. I didn't like the ribbon on it, so I took it off.

Supplies:
Boo letters (or anything you want it to have)
Dollar store wood plaque
Black paint
Scrapbook paper
Black glitter
Mod Podge
Ribbon for hanging

First I painted the back and sides of the wood black, and I also painted the letters. For the letters I painted all sides, front and back. I didn't want any wood showing anywhere.

I picked what paper I wanted for the background. I traced the wood onto the paper and cut it out. I then put mod podge on the wood and put the paper on top where I wanted it. That was easier than putting the mod podge on the paper. After it dried, I sanded the edges to make sure it sealed well. I then put a coat of mod podge over the paper.
Next, I put glitter on the letters.
I put mod podge on the letters and then poured the glitter onto that to make it stick. I dumped off all excess glitter into my tray so I could easily put it back into the container.

Here's the letters with all the glitter.
When everything was dry, I hot glued my letters onto my wood. They overlap each other a little.
I then picked what ribbon I wanted for the back and hot glued it on.
