Handmade Gift Exchange Part 2

Remember this post about what I gave to my partner for the Handmade Gift Exchange that Craftaholics Anonymous did? Well, here is what I received:

When is the baby coming game?

So, I am at 35 weeks and a couple days. I thought it would be fun to play a game out of when the baby will come. A prize will be awarded for the person who gets closest to the right date, the right weight, the length of labor and what time I went into labor. 

 

Here is some information to help you make the best guess:

My daughter was born at 36 weeks 1 day, 7 lbs. 3 oz, I went into labor at 3 a.m., and labor lasted 8 hours. This baby is due August 14th. 

 To enter the contest, just leave a comment. Anyone who wants may apply. I just ask that you follow the blog! The prize will be awarded to the person who comes closest to the actual stats, but the prize will be way better if you get the stats spot on! One guess per person. I will announce the winner after the baby is born!  Good luck!

Giveaway at Craftaholics Anonymous!

Linda at Craftaholics Anonymous is having a giveaway for a Picture Keeper. This looks so cool! It's an awesome way to store pictures, and she says it's easier than using a portable hard drive. I would love to get one of these to back up my pictures from my computer! Go check out the giveaway here.

Handmade Gift Exchange

I decided to join in the Handmade Gift Exchange over at Craftaholics Anonymous. This was my first time, and it was a lot of fun! So this is what I made for my partner:

 One side of the charm. I decided to use her initial for it.

 And the other side. I really liked the quote and hope she does, too!

I also sent her a soldered heart charm, and a chain. It's not this exact heart, but I apparently forgot to take a picture of that one. I didn't take a picture of the chain, either. 

I hope my partner enjoys her gift!

I have been majorly slacking lately! I know I need to blog more. I have actually done a few things and have pictures, just haven't posted yet. I will post projects and things soon! I promise! My only excuse is that I'm 25 weeks pregnant and tired after running around after a toddler all day. I have a lot to do before this baby comes. Soldered Charms

My newest obsession lately has been creating soldered charms for necklaces. They could be used on bracelets, too. I am hoping that I can make a bunch and open an etsy shop to sell them. Here's some of what I've done so far. They aren't perfect. but I am still practicing. :)

Valentine Subway Art

I know, I know, Valentine's Day is over! But I wanted to share with you my subway art.

 I know the Valentine and the 14 are a little light, but I really liked the paper.

Valentine Specimen

I made some specimen using the heart picks from the dollar store. I used my craft knife to cut them in half. If I were to do it again, I would have used a bigger knife. I didn't want the background to be completely the same, so I did white fabric for the pink hearts and a pink striped fabric for the red glittery hearts.

Don't mind the lines in the white fabric. I could not get them out! I ironed it like 5 times and they were still there!

Big Sister Shirt

I actually made this in December, but was waiting until I was out of the first trimester to tell others. I decided to do something different to tell my family that we were expecting again. So, I got a shirt and used some fabric I had on hand and made a "Big Sister" shirt! I used my cricut to cut out the letters and then traced them onto the fabric and cut the letters out. I also made a hair piece, but my daughter pulled it out before we got the picture. Don't mind her hair, this was at the end of the day.

Valentine Wreath

I've been trying to do crafts lately with things I already have on hand. I really do need to get rid of a bunch of stuff by doing the projects I want to do with them. My friend sent me to this link at Sweetie Pie Bakery. I had everything on hand that was needed for it, so I decided to make it! My heart is not as defined, but it works. I actually only have 29 pom poms instead of the 30. I layed my wreath down and came back to find my daughter had pulled a pom pom off and was pulling it apart. I liked the look of having the heart slanted more than just straight up.

One craft down, many more to go. :)
